Welcome to our marvelous math site! Thank you for taking the time to visit. You are probably asking yourself, "what in the world is a math interventionist?" Well, a math interventionist works with teams of students that are progressing with building understanding in math with models and strategies to be the best problem solvers they can possibly be. Models can include bead racks, 5 frames, 10 frames, 20 frames, base-10 pieces, money pieces, clocks, fraction bars, arrays, ratio tables, and number lines. Strategies are used with all 4 operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) as well as place value understanding.
As a team, we will "use what we know, to solve what we don't." I have been overwhelmed with kindness from all the Valiant Knights at Valley View. and I'm looking forward to another positive year!
